Trail description

Warning: the route is only recommended for more expert bikers.

The descent from Bormio 3000 towards Santa Caterina Valfurva is a freeride route infinite, with spectacular views.

The departure of this route is located in Santa Caterina. Through a dirt road with an excellent surface, passing through Calvarana, Le Poce and S. Pietro, you reach Bormio.

This route is to be considered the most valid alternative for mountain bike, to reach Bormio.

Then take the cable car that takes you up to Bormio 3000, with two distinct sections. A stop at the spectacular restaurant Heaven 3000 it is a must. Then the descent begins.

The first section is very technical with loose stones of all sizes, you go up for a small push and then descend to the Bei Laghetti, a spectacle of nature.

Arrived at the vents of Profa, keep left and continue to descend on a path that is sometimes very technical, but spectacular. Before reaching the Baitin dei Pastori, take the path that climbs gently for about a kilometre. After a few ups and downs there is a new technical stretch, with many roots, hairpin bends and steps, which then takes you back to Santa Caterina Valfurva.
