Trail description
In the 1994 Giro d'Italia, a small climber took over the world of cycling: his name was Marco Pantani.
Over time, the pirate has become a climbing hero throughout the Alps.
But the climbs that consecrated it to the myth are the Mortirolo da Mazzo in Valtellina and the Santa Cristina pass.
Two demanding and long climbs, but steeped in history and magic.
If you want to retrace the pirate's hours, don't get sent these epic climbs.
The ring tour is practicable from May to October.
