Trail description
The Santa Cristina climb was made famous by the 1994 Giro d'Italia, when a splendid Marco Pantani also detached Miguel Indurain.
The route is planned from Stazzona (on the valley floor), climbs towards Aprica for about 5 km, turn left and the road is completely immersed in the woods and this allows for some coolness, but the slopes are always demanding and sometimes prohibitive.
