Trail description
This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful tours, to be covered by bike, to emulate the great riders of the Giro d'Italia.
The Mortirolo climb is known throughout the world and presents a difficulty out of the ordinary: a distance of 12.4 km, for a difference in altitude of 1300 m, with a maximum gradient of 18%.
The transfer to Ponte di Legno is pleasant and prepares you for the ascent of the legendary Gavia ( Brescia side), long and with a fair amount of difficulty (distance of 17.3 km for a height difference of 1363 m). The return to Bormio is pleasant, but the stretch up to S. Caterina Valfurva requires particular attention due to the slightly bumpy surface.
