Trail description

The departure of this route is from Livigno and the direction is Val Fedaria.

The climb to Passo Cassana is very demanding, with steep slopes on a rather wide dirt road. However, this is the most demanding part of the track.

Once you reach the pass, you are faced with a first part of descent on technical and rather steep hairpin bends, but fun is guaranteed.

Afterwards, the route follows a dirt road and the difficulty drops a lot. At the bottom of the valley, turn left and take comfortable cycle paths to Pontresina. A visit to this village is a must, not before visiting the Laj da Staz: a splendid lake hidden from the traffic and confusion of nearby Sankt Moritz.

From Pontresina, then head towards the Diavolezza , on a splendid single trail that leads up to the Bernina pass. Once at the ski lift station, turn left and take the Val del Fen, where the slopes are pleasant and the landscape unspoiled.

Once you have reached the top, you must be very careful in the first part of the descent, as as the path is very sloping and it is very easy to throw a few stones on the road below.

Then you can reach the center of Livigno via a nice cycle path.
